Charles Owens Pop-Up Liner Notes (Season 2, Episode 3)
2.3.1) The Charles Owens Trio features Devonne Harris and Andrew Randazzo of Butcher Brown. The Charles Owens Quartet has had a number of different lineups over the years.
2.3.2) Jason Jenkins and Alan Parker are longtime jazz collaborators that together founded 32 Bar Records. Devonne Harris, aka DJ Harrison, is a solo musician and member of Butcher Brown and the Charles Owens Trio.

2.3.3) JC Kuhl is a saxophone, flute, and clarinet player that's an active member of several bands and an adjunct professor of jazz saxophone at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
2.3.4) Smalls Jazz Club is a venue in New York City known for featuring the best rising jazz talents in the area. They also record and release live albums of some performances through their record label.
2.3.5) Roots Jam is a weekly event at Black Iris Social Club featuring a wide variety of local music presented by Calvin Brown.
2.3.6) Butcher Brown is currently one of the biggest bands in Richmond, making a unique blend of jazz, hip-hop, and everything else under the sun. Charles Owens played with them at their Friday Cheers show on Brown's Island in 2021.

2.3.9) Adrian Olsen- producer/mixer/engineer owns a studio in Richmond, VA called Montrose Recording and have made many records there.

2.3.12) Jessica Camilli/Rapid Eyes was born in Georgetown, DC, received a BFA from James Madison University with a concentration in drawing and painting, and is currently working on painting and illustration in Richmond, Virginia.
2.3.13) Deau Eyes is a Richmond, VA singer/songwriter and 2023 Newlin Music Prize Winner for their album Legacy.

2.3.15) Nicholas Payton is a Grammy Award-winning multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, producer, arranger, essayist, and social activist. They honor the tradition of what he terms “postmodern New Orleans" music.
